Reconstructing climate-ecosystem relationships across diverse terrestrial and marine environments during past episodes of climate change using organic geochemical and stable isotopic techniques. Developing a new generation of instrumentation that significantly reduces sample size requirements for molecular (pico-GC-IRMS) and bulk (nano-EA-IRMS) isotope analyses.
