Equipment full name:
Thermo Scientific iCAP 7400 Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic/Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-AES)
Address: 307 Hosler Building
Description: The Thermo Scientific iCAP 7400 ICP-AES (or ICP-OES) is the backbone of all chemical analyses performed in the LIME laboratory. The ICP-AES is used to analyze elemental sample composition for a wide range of sample types. This instrument has high throughput and a robust sample introduction system, and a wide range of concentrations. It is the preferred technique for refractory elements such as Ti, Mo, W, and Zr. Elements routinely analyzed using the ICP-AES include aluminum, antimony, barium, boron, cadmium. calcium, cerium, copper, iron, lithium, magnesium, manganese, nickel, phosphorus, potassium, silicon, sodium, tin, titanium, terbium, and zirconium. The laboratory has the capability to perform analysis for the following elements, which are requested less frequently: arsenic, bismuth, chromium, cobalt, gadolinium, gold, lanthanum, molybdenum, and silver.
To Request Sample Analysis: Please download and complete the Sample Analysis Request Form (see below “Related Files”) and submit your request via email to the attention of Laura Liermann.
